So you are free to choose between metal and ceramic brackets without it changing the price.

Suresmile technology

While orthodontists have been delivering great smiles for over a century, traditional braces typically involve manual adjustments delivered over many appointments. Patients have come to know this as ‘tightening’ of their braces. SureSmile® is reinventing orthodontic treatment, by allowing your orthodontist to visually define the desired position. SureSmile® calculates all of the customisation needed to deliver the orthodontist’s plan.

This customisation is then precisely translated to each patient’s arch wires by SureSmile® robots, cutting treatment time by up to 30% and improving the quality of treatment results. Instead of bending an arch wire by hand, your orthodontist uses advanced 3-D imaging, virtual simulations and robotically bent arch wires customised for your treatment. When the SureSmile® wire is inserted into your brackets, each tooth moves directly to the prescribed position. Your teeth do not move faster with SureSmile® - they move with precision that was never before possible.

Retainers

Once your treatment is finished, it’s not only important to maintain the health of your teeth with a good oral hygiene routine, it’s also vitally important to remember that your teeth can still move. This is why we fit each of our patients with a fix retainer, so that your beautifully straight smile stays that way. A fixed retainer simply consists of a wire that is designed individually to fit the back of your newly straight teeth and then permanently bonded to them.

Because the retainer is permanently bonded to the teeth, there is no chance of you misplacing it or forgetting to wear it. The fixed retainer is invisible from the outside and extremely minimal and won’t inhibit your ability to speak. These retainers will do exactly what their namesake suggests; retain all of the orthodontic work you went through to achieve your beautiful smile.

Braces costs in New Zealand

The cost of orthodontic treatment depends on the complexity of the case, the duration of treatment and the type of orthodontics employed. Typically the cost can range from $7,000 - $12,000. During the initial consultation the cost of the treatment will be outlined in the detailed treatment plan.
